"Single Wilderness" -- are you kidding me?

So you're in your 40s, 50s, god-forbid 60s and you're sitting at home with no date and all alone.  You feel that people simply don't understand how hard it is to be single and you're sick and tired of hearing the "Ra Ra for singlehood" song.

What's worse is that you can't understand that with so much to offer, men/women/whatever aren't lining up to ask you out.  You know what?

Who Cares and So What!  Yes, that's right.

At this age, and with so much to offer you haven't yet figured out that the quality of your life and indeed your happiness depends on you?  Really?

If you find yourself bemoaning the fact that the dating scene is slim pickins for someone your age then my question to you is what exactly are you running from?  Why is your life so incomplete?  Why are you so willing to put the quality of your life in someone else's hands?

This, my sweetness, is the question.
